Educating the next generation in mining
Development of a Port Hedland Industries Council (PHIC) education initiative to provide training and support for Port Hedland teaching staff on the Australian mining industry, and the range of current and future career pathways available to Port Hedland students.
Platform produced visually appealing assets that are engaging to teachers and students including a PowerPoint presentation and textbook to tell the story of the importance of the mining sector and the potential employment opportunities.
The rollout of the initiative is planned for 2023 for the resources industry as well as an associated employment opportunities guideline for teachers including bespoke teaching materials and provision of relevant industry publications.
